A-10 CONVERSIONS

USAF

N/AW A-10A 1 YA-10A(73-1664), 1979, prototype for Night / Adverse Weather capabilities,
second seat in extended cockpit for systems operator. Also planned as the
production YA-10B 2-seater trainer, later cancelled.
OA-10A 100 A-10A, 1988-present, forward-air-control (FAC) conversions.
A-10C 356 A-10A, 2005-present, major avionics / systems upgrade. Conversions by
Lockheed-Martin Systems Integration, New York.

Re-wing Program
 2011, 173 A-10C airframes upgraded with new wings under a service
 life extension program (SLEP). Upgrades by Boeing.
